Job Description:
Phoenix Technical Solutions is looking for an entry level Financial Analyst or Project Manager to perform and oversee the financial estimating and tracking for the Engineering Operations Management group. Candidate should have strong organizational and interpersonal skills as the position will require regular interaction with matrixed engineering teams. Data mining and strong analytical skills are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate will support the Engineering Operations Management group in following/maintaining business processes.
- Monitor and maintain project hours and detailed spend while coordinating updates.

Capture, analyze and roll-up costs for associated spend while projecting year end balances.
- Data entry and validation while maintaining record accuracy and integrity.
- Prepare a variety of financial reports as needed and as directed.
Desired Skills:
- Operational knowledge of Business Finance and Accounting for Engineering operations.
- Must be detailed oriented and able to take on new tasks without heavy oversight.
- Proficient with condensing data to concise and presentable formats.
- Able to create basic tools (spreadsheets, reports) using standard software such as Access, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Creative problem solving of low to high complexity to meet requested actions.
- Familiarity with MySQL databases and financial acumen.
- Experience with creating macros in Excel is a definite plus.
Qualifications/Requirements:
A degree in business (Finance/Accounting) or Industrial Engineering.
