Job Description

MCR Safety, a Bunzl company and PPE industry leader, is seeking a Staff Accountant for our HQ office in Collierville, TN. The Staff Accountant will provide financial and accounting information and analysis to key members of the team, along with ensuring the integrity of the accounting information by establishing quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare balance sheet and profit and loss account reconciliations and analysis; accruals for rebates and contract pricing
• Process and reconciliation of intercompany transactions 
• Maintain supporting records of financial statements, including journal entries
• Prepare and process journal entries
• Provide daily cash control, including reconciling all cash transactions to source records; make appropriate adjusting entries daily; reconcile month-end cash balances to general ledger balance
• Manage fixed-asset records; update electronic records
• Process A/P clearing for freight / duty charges for USA & CAN

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (with an emphasis in Accounting) required 
• Minimum of 1-3 years of accounting experience
• Extensive knowledge of Excel and Word
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• SAP Software knowledge a plus
• Possess ability to work independently and as a team player
• Must be accurate and detailed-oriented
• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Must be high-energy and self-motivated

Experience

Education

• Bachelor of Arts or better in Accounting Systems or related field
