Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
• Current CPR certification (Aveanna can assist with this post-hire if needed)
• TB skin test (current within the last 12 months)
• Six months of hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
• Reliable transportation is a must

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care according to the developed care plan and physician's orders, while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Essential Job Functions

• Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
• Continuously observe and assess patient conditions, reporting changes as necessary.
• Document all activities and nursing actions in a timely manner.
• Develop, implement, and update nursing care plans.
• Recognize changes in patient needs and take appropriate nursing actions.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes and self-care techniques.
• Maintain knowledge of nursing competencies through ongoing education.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English.
• Must be able to travel and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.
• Must be able to respond physically and mentally to emergency situations.

Environment

Work in a variety of environments, which may involve exposure to allergens and other conditions, including blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
